Design Services - Modelling and Prototyping
The 3D CAD system used in-house at Europlaz Technologies has the latest hybrid geometric modeler and process-oriented CAM system. Varimetrix VX Vision, provides advanced surfacing and fully integrated manufacturing applications that improve efficiency.This saves both time and costs by minimising costly design revisions, reducing tool / product design, tool manufacture and final production lead times. We also use Unigraphics SolidEdge, a 3D CAD Design software package - which is one of the industry standards.
Design services available include:
- Component design: full 3D / 2D, part design reflects manufacture and assembly parameters.
- Polymer selection: suitability to meet client specifications, suggestions on alternatives to existing materials.
- Mould flow analysis: fast track suggestions on improving mouldability.
- Rapid prototype model manufacture, by means of:
- Steriolithography, SLA & SLS.
- High speed CNC machining.
- Vacuum casting (polyurethane).
- Vacuum forming.
- Prototype mould tool design, aluminium or steel.
- Single or multi-cavity mould tool design, including hot runner systems, robotics, where required.
- Multi-cavity tool design for medical components manufactured in clean rooms (stainless steel tools etc).
- Design assessment of existing tools, with suggestions to improve, or extend tool longevity
