Powerfloss
The Challenge
Dentists regularly advise patients to floss but many people find traditional floss difficult to use. That's why Powerfloss are introducing the Oral Irrigator: a powerful jet water spray which helps to remove plaque and food debris from teeth, bridges or braces. The easy-to-use device also massages gums to promote the circulation of blood in difficult to reach gum areas.
Powerfloss needed a first-class plastic injection moulder who appreciated the difficulties of developing a new product for the dental market. A company they could trust to comply with FDA regulations, and guarantee the product's suitability for use with potable water to ensure a successful introduction of their new Oral Irrigator to the marketplace.
The Solution
Europlaz Technologies' positive approach to the prototype sealed the deal and Powerfloss appointed them as their preferred contract manufacturer. Europlaz re-created the Oral Irrigator in 3D and then quickly supplied enhanced prototypes for evaluation following detailed technical meetings to agree product design, specifications and materials. Each mould tool designed by Europlaz is capable of producing high quantities to the exacting quality standards required by Powerfloss.
The Verdict
Europlaz kept the lines of communication open at all stages of the project which meant we were always kept abreast of developments.
Europlaz took responsibility for choosing the right materials and components so we could focus on other priorities to get this product launched.
We used them for model making, tool making, clean room manufacturing and printing.
