Part Time Marketing and Communications Manager



This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like to be directly involved in leading the marketing activities of a fast-growing medical device SME. 

Marketing is held in high esteem at Europlaz and we are looking for an amiable and driven person to take responsibility for the strategic direction as well as be involved in the execution of the plan.

We're a friendly team with nice new offices and a clear growth plan. There is a lot of scope for an innovative marketer to make a difference to the future of Europlaz. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with plenty of creative ideas. 

We are looking for someone to do three days a week from our office in Southminster. Pay will be dependent on experience and we are willing to pay top salaries for the right person. 


Key responsibilities include:

Marketing and PR

  • Contribute to the formulation of the Company’s marketing strategy and take the lead on all marketing initiatives across a variety of channels including digital, social media, video and print
  • Raise brand awareness in the medical device market with the aim of increasing new business enquiries
  • Create concise digital and traditional communications including regular news releases 
  • Liaise with industry press to ensure regular coverage of Europlaz in relevant publications online or in print. 
  • Liaise with digital agency to create a new website inline with the company strategy 
  • Create and write content for advertising and marketing materials 
  • create and write presentations and template documentation to support the organisation in bids, tenders and award entries
  • Managing relationships with external agencies, including designers, printers, PR, exhibition providers and member associations
  • Monitoring, analysisng and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing strategies and initiatives
  • Update and maintain the Company’s website
  • Manage and grow a high level of presence across a variety of social medial platforms
  • Conduct research and keeping up with industry trends and relaying these back to the senior management team 
  • Update the front-end of our website
  • lead on events and industry exhibitions 

Internal communications: 

  • Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with senior managers – particularly HR. 
  • Ensure organisational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees 
  • Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums such as regular email and newsletter bulletins and staff notices. You may also be required to work on the layout of content. 
  • Use social media to communicate with staff internally
  • Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organisation and are consistent with external communication messages 
  • Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Degree Qualification in Marketing or a similar field preferred 
  • At least five years proven experience of working in a similar role / for a relevant organization
  • Recent experience of developing content for a new website

A positive attitude and strong communication skills will be essential.  You will be confident working independently and be proactive in managing your own workload.  The job is varied, so the ability to priority and manage your time, while producing work of a consistently high standard will be critical.

  • Experience writing copy for a range of materials including blogs, websites, brochures, magazines / newspapers and advertisements
  • Experience editing websites / publishing from the front-end
  • Experience managing professional social medial accounts
